In case you forgot —
She’s been listening to lectures in Journalism,
To later abandon words.
One more story of a brilliant success.
I told her once,
Having bumped into her in a new cityscape,
She looked as an extraterrestial.
That was my joke,
However, I saw a blank expression in her face.
She seemed to have forgotten me,
I used to be a fly on the wall to her.
*Avida dollars
* It’s only us
I saw nothing but her skin.
Glowing like an astronaut’s hard metal suit.
Her eyes were out-of-this-world too,
But movements controllable.
Oh that skin — too pale, too natural…
Oh that mind — *rerum in se —
I was red with anger,
Green with envy,
Feeling blue for our early youth,
Yet she decided not to talk,
Leving me discouraged for a while.
What is social distancing?
Why did she decide not to talk to me
After all those years?
My gracious thin fingers
Started drowning in nets
Of the netiquette.
She quit writing
And now she’s only a crispy magazine
Feature.
